Syrian-American NGOs Lead the Way in Syrian Humanitarian Aid Efforts
It explores how the responses of large, international non-profit NGOs, like the United Nations, allowed the Syrian government to weaponize humanitarian aid to create and exacerbate the suffering of Syrian civilians. The article draws upon interviews with Syrian American humanitarians to contextualize and detail the growth of MSA led NGOs.
